YOUNG POLICE OFFICER’S “POLICE SEMINAR” 2019
Now is YOUR chance to enter
IPA IRELAND’S FREE DRAW FOR THIS VALUABLE PRIZE IPA Ireland will pay for the return flight of our winner/s which will be booked through IPA Ireland Travel Bureau.
Application is invited from our IPA Members who were registered with our Association on or before 29th November 2017 and who wish to take part in the Young Police Officer’s “Police Seminar”, 24th – 28th June 2019, being hosted by Section UK.
Members who would like to be included in the free draw for a place at this event in the UK are asked to send their entry by email to or by post to IPA Office, 13 Iona Drive, Glasnevin, Dublin 9, to arrive there on or before Friday 29th November 2018. Draw entry should be headed – IPA Young Police Officers Seminar and give the following details:
Name, Registered Number, DOB, Home Address, Where stationed, Mobile phone number.
The lucky winner/s will be required to:-
- Cover their cost in travelling to and from Dublin Airport.
- Provide adequate travel insurance.
- Obtain appropriate Annual Leave.
- Write a report for IPA Ireland; approx 800–1000 words (for possible publication)

5th IPA World Seminar for Young Police Officers 2019
"POLICING CHANGE" to be Hosted by Section UK.
This Seminar will take place from Monday 24th to Friday 28th June, 2019.
Accommodation will be available from the evening of Sunday 23rd to Friday, 28th if required.
The venue will be the Police Scotland College, Tulliallan, Kincardine, where every Police Officer in Scotland
attends for their probationary training.
It also provides specialist training areas for Road Policing, Criminal Investigation and many Promoted Officers and Senior Management courses. The Castle is set in 90 acres of parkland.
The Topic of the Seminar will be “Policing Change”.
Accommodation will be in Single or Twin ensuite rooms. Meals will be provided.
The programme will include classroom sessions, practical environments, social and cultural events,
covering topics on Terrorism, Drugs, Human Trafficking, Gangs, Immigrants, Communication, Defensive Tactics,
Policing Mental Health and Freedom without Barriers. All presentations will be in English.

IPA IRELAND - SPONSORSHIP OF ATTENDANCE AT PROFESSIONAL SEMINARS IN GIMBORN CASTLE DURING 2019
A draw will be held at the NEC meeting in January 2019 for the 10 lucky winners who will receive sponsorship to attend selected Seminar.
IPA will pay for: Seminar fees, Meals & Accommodation and transfer transport in Germany..
Member will pay for: Airfare to Cologne. Travel Insurance. Transport to/from Dublin Airport.

On 25th May 2018, every member state of the European Union, including Ireland, is adopting the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This will affect how IPA Ireland collects and processes the personal data of our members. IPA Ireland treats data protection and privacy with utmost importance. We have created a new Data Protection Policy, which is available on the MEMBERS AREA of this website.
This document reflects the changes brought into effect by the GDPR and offers guidance to IPA members who are involved in processing personal data. We encourage you to download it and read it carefully.

IPA HIKING CLUB Acting Secretary, Annmarie Larkin Signals the Launch of the new CLUB.
The IPA Hiking Club was lunched on Saturday, 16th September, 2017. The club is open to all IPA members, serving and retired. We would like to invite you to join pur Club. There is no Annual Membership Fee, all that is required is that you are a current member of the IPA. The Club events will also be open to family members and will cater for all levels of fitness.
